Statuses are an integral part of the autoVHC Software and process. There are 8 different statuses in total that can be assigned to a VHC; their purpose being to inform users of the stage in the appropriate VHC Process a certain vehicle is at. These statuses are: New/C/S/P/L/A/PI/LI
The status of a VHC informs users what needs to be done next and which department needs to action it. For example a status that read C/P would indicate that the vehicle has received a health check and that the parts have now been priced. Given the core workshop process, this status would also indicate that it was still waiting for labour to be priced.
These statuses greatly increase the transparency of the VHC process by enabling all users to see at what stage the VHC is currently at and what needs to be done next. This approach naturally drives the VHC process. For more information on which statuses apply to which department, see the relevant sections of the manual.
